Here at Tynemouth Village Day Centre, we offer a number of services for you including,
Door to door transport on a purpose built, escorted coach.
Tea and coffee on arrival and the opportunity to catch up with friends and look at the days newspaper.
Home cooked lunch fully prepared on the premises with the ability to accommodate special dietary needs.
Sweet followed by a choice of beverage.
Afternoon entertainment activities including daily trips out on the coach.
A choice of beverage served with home baked cakes or scones for afternoon tea.
Door to door transport home in the evening.

How we do it

Over the last 30 years the TVDC has developed in response to the changing wants and needs of members and this is reflected in the various activities enjoyed by the members.
People want a range of activities and the daily trips on our bus to destinations of their choice are extremely popular. For those who prefer centre based activities there is plenty of choice from games, crafts, quizzes, discussions etc. Good entertainment, themed days, pantomimes at Christmas all provide the opportunity to support and help our members to interact socially. All of these engagements throughout our social calendar contribute positively to the wellbeing of our members.
We are able to provide Day Care for those who are socially isolated and also for those with early stage organic illnesses in the hope that maximising independent/group activity and stimulating interest will enhance their functioning. We also provide carer relief to reduce stress and
