We want a future where a child’s ambitions are never limited by their circumstances.
We work to motivate, guide and empower children and young people living in the most deprived areas, to re-think their potential.
By working long term within a community, we positively invest in the talents and ambitions of the children and young people living there.
We do this by training young people form the local area to provide tailored support to the children that need a little extra help.
Our Hubs have and will always be spaces where children and young people have; a sense of true belonging, safe spaces to make mistakes and grow from them, where they can challenge and motivate each other to achieve their full potential.
We do this by creating safe and relaxed learning environments, called Learning Hubs, in community centres, churches, schools. Children and young people can drop in, after school and on Saturdays, and have access to the internet, learning resources, volunteer tutors and befrienders and where they can also take part in Clubs. We have been running Learning Hubs, Clubs and Summer Schools for 11 years. We currently have 8 Learning Hubs in 8 areas, offering 22 weekly sessions, for 361 children and young people, supported by 172 volunteers.
Our motto is ‘Young People Learning From Each Other’ We believe young people learn best from each other, provided that the right environment is created for them. Our volunteer tutors and befrienders are mainly sixth form students from the area. We train them, allowing them to achieve a Level 3 AQA award for their volunteering.
