Cafe JJ

Our Mission

We support people with learning disabilities to run their community café, Café JJ. They are known as Team JJ and each team member has been supported to gain catering and waiting on skills.

How we do it

On a Monday, Team JJ work in the kitchen to produce the menu items needed for our customers who come to Café JJ on a Tuesday. We have 80/90 customers who regularly come and are waited on by Team JJ members. Good quality home made food and excellent customer service is the secret to Café JJ's success. Barriers have been broken down to demonstrate that disabled people have skills, can provide a service and give back to the local community.
