Durham Palestine Educational Trust

Our Mission

Our main aim is to aid the social and economic development of Palestine. We do this by funding, together with Durham University, Masters Degree scholarships for gifted graduates of Palestinian universities. The skills and experience they obtain benefits thousands of other Palestinians when they return home.

How we do it

Since 2001, we have funded nearly 40 scholarships at Durham for young Palestinians. Each scholarships costs us about £13,000. We raise this through personal donations, fundraising events and our thriving used book selling operation. We are run entirely by volunteers so every penny donated goes towards funding Palestinian scholarships.
