Family Help’s Charitable Objects
To provide refuge accommodation and a specialist holistic package of support for women and women with children from anywhere in the country.
A confidential helpline is available for any person affected directly or indirectly by domestic abuse.
Advocacy, options, information, signposting is available along with move on support to Darlington clients who have moved out of the refuge and into new tenancies.

How we do it

Family Help provide refuge accommodation and specialist holistic support to women and women with children fleeing domestic abuse from all over the UK. We expect to provide refuge accommodation for over 60 women and/or families a year.
2017/18 we accommodated 68 women and 100 children. But unfortunately due to being full at the time of the call we were unable to accommodate another 99 women and 116 children of which 38 women and 45 children were from Darlington.
The domestic abuse helpline received 400+ calls a year, and is available to anyone affected directly or indirectly by domestic abuse.
