Our Mission

To support prisoners and ex-prisoners, their families and friends; to reduce the impact and stigma of imprisonment on their lives and contribute to the positive rehabilitation of offenders.

How we do it

Nepacs staff and volunteers provide a range of services to support prisoners and their friends or families across the north east, including prison visits services, play and youth projects, family support services, support within the north east courts and a family and parenting service in the community.
We recognise that families of offenders, and especially children, may become hidden victims of crime when a relative is imprisoned. The impact of imprisonment on families and friends of prisoners can be devastating, which is why our staff and volunteers provide friendship and support during this difficult time.
