Our Mission

The relief of homeless and other persons who are in need, hardship, isolation or distress, in particular (without limitation) through the promotion and provision of support services, the provision of volunteering opportunities, education, training, information and advice for such persons by providing facilities which will lead to self-reliance and independent living within the community.

How we do it

We deal with the problems, issues and barriers relating to individuals/families at their point of need particularly those suffering from homelessness, poverty or isolation. We offer the following support and services:
A safe place for people in crisis to sleep for a few hours, affordable/free food & companionship via our Community Café & emergency Food Bank. Clothing, baby items etc Community shop/clothing bank. Low-cost furniture supply scheme, discreet showering & clothes-washing facilities, sleeping bags, clothes, food, tents/shelters for street sleepers. A Job Club for job search with non-judgmental 1:1 literacy & IT support. A Teen Bar (Youth Group), an army of well-trained staff, mentors & confidantes, gardening & volunteering opportunities and much more. The project originated from the simple desire to exist as a place of refuge & companionship for those who are trying to make it alone with little or no support.
